&lt;p class="MsoNormal" style="MARGIN:0in 0in 0pt;"&gt;&lt;font face="Times New Roman" size="3"&gt;The Sanitary Board of the City of Charleston, West Virginia, a Municipal Utility (CSB), is seeking a State of West Virginia, Registered Professional Engineer for the position of Engineering Department Manager.&lt;span style="mso-spacerun:yes;"&gt;&amp;nbsp; &lt;/span&gt;The Engineering Department Manager will report to the Operations Manager and will directly supervise CSB engineers, surveyors, GIS Manager, as well as CSB hired consultant engineers and contractors.&lt;span style="mso-spacerun:yes;"&gt;&amp;nbsp; &lt;/span&gt;&lt;b style="mso-bidi-font-weight:normal;"&gt;Primary Duties:&lt;span style="mso-spacerun:yes;"&gt;&amp;nbsp; &lt;/span&gt;&lt;/b&gt;Among others, supervise assigned employees, consulting engineers and contractors; design and endorse plans for sewage treatment, collection and conveying systems; manage the CSB’s CIP; review and approval of new collection systems and sewer plans issued through the City Building Department; supervises and performs engineering studies and designs to assure compliance with EPA, WVDEP policies and regulations regarding CSO’s.&lt;span style="mso-spacerun:yes;"&gt;&amp;nbsp; &lt;/span&gt;&lt;b style="mso-bidi-font-weight:normal;"&gt;Required Knowledge:&lt;span style="mso-spacerun:yes;"&gt;&amp;nbsp; &lt;/span&gt;&lt;/b&gt;Among others, Considerable knowledge (design, operation and construction) of sewage treatment plants, collection systems and pump stations and CSO’s; management skills for supervision of in-house staff and hired engineering consultants and contractors; ability to manage multiple tasks and projects; must have effective written and verbal communication skills; and must be able to work well with customers, public officials and other employees.&lt;span style="mso-spacerun:yes;"&gt;&amp;nbsp; &lt;/span&gt;&lt;b style="mso-bidi-font-weight:normal;"&gt;Education:&lt;span style="mso-spacerun:yes;"&gt;&amp;nbsp; &lt;/span&gt;&lt;/b&gt;Must have a Bachelor’s Degree in Civil or Sanitary Engineering; must be a State of West Virginia Registered Professional Engineer; and must have a valid West Virginia Driver’s License.&lt;span style="mso-spacerun:yes;"&gt;&amp;nbsp; &lt;/span&gt;&lt;b style="mso-bidi-font-weight:normal;"&gt;Salary and Benefits:&lt;span style="mso-spacerun:yes;"&gt;&amp;nbsp; &lt;/span&gt;&lt;/b&gt;The Sanitary Board offers an excellent compensation package including a competitive wage and access to a full range of excellent benefits including; health, vision, dental and life insurance; the PERS (State) Retirement program and a generous paid-leave (annual and sick leave) program.&lt;span style="mso-spacerun:yes;"&gt;&amp;nbsp; &lt;/span&gt;Please respond by providing a complete, current resume and a letter of interest, on or before January 31, 2008.&lt;span style="mso-spacerun:yes;"&gt;&amp;nbsp; &lt;/span&gt;Responses should be addressed to: Human Resources, P.O. &lt;p class="MsoNormal" style="MARGIN:0in 0in 0pt;"&gt;&lt;font size="3"&gt;&lt;font face="Times New Roman"&gt;The Sanitary Board of the City of Charleston (CSB) is seeking an Environmental Compliance Assistant as part of its Environmental Compliance Program.&lt;span style="mso-spacerun:yes;"&gt;&amp;nbsp; &lt;/span&gt;This position reports directly to the Environmental Compliance Coordinator (ECC).&lt;span style="mso-spacerun:yes;"&gt;&amp;nbsp; &lt;/span&gt;Duties include, among others:&lt;span style="mso-spacerun:yes;"&gt;&amp;nbsp; &lt;/span&gt;assisting the ECC with supervising, compliance assurance, record keeping, reporting and updating the CSB’s combined sewer overflow (CSO) program, grease trap program and environmental sampling; inspecting/enforcement of industrial customers permitted under the pretreatment ordinance and grease trap users;&lt;span style="mso-spacerun:yes;"&gt;&amp;nbsp; &lt;/span&gt;NPDES permit compliance; CSO testing and monitoring; sludge and metals sampling; and flow meter monitoring&lt;span style="mso-spacerun:yes;"&gt;&amp;nbsp; &lt;/span&gt;&lt;/font&gt;&lt;/font&gt;&lt;/p&gt;&lt;font face="Times New Roman" size="3"&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/font&gt; 
&lt;p class="MsoNormal" style="MARGIN:0in 0in 0pt;"&gt;&lt;font face="Times New Roman" size="3"&gt;Overview of requirements, among others:&lt;span style="mso-spacerun:yes;"&gt;&amp;nbsp; &lt;/span&gt;A Bachelor of Science Degree in Environmental Science, Biology, Environmental Engineering, other related field, or the equivalence is preferred, but years of demonstrated hands-on experience may be considered in lieu of a degree; Shall possess good math skills, computer skills, communication skills; this position will be working in and around raw sewage, in deep manhole structures, along waterways (shore and boat) and at industrial and commercial facilities; Must have a valid West Virginia Driver’s License; and must have a high school diploma.&lt;/font&gt;&lt;/p&gt;&lt;font face="Times New Roman" size="3"&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/font&gt;
