2025 WV GeoConLocation: Canaan Valley Resort State Park, 230 Main Lodge Road, Davis, WV 26260 Dates: Monday, June 2nd to Wednesday, June 4th, 2025 Each year, WVAGP hosts the largest gathering of geospatial professionals in the state at WV GeoCon to promote geospatial technology and professions across the state and outside its borders. The conference provides opportunities for professional development, collaboration, and networking for the diverse backgrounds and experience levels of our organization’s membership. It is intended to provide ample time and space for professional development workshops, presentations of ideas, the annual Business Meeting, and networking between professionals, vendors, and organizations that utilize geospatial technology and practices. Author of 10 Little Rules for Sharing Your Story, Frank Winters is committed to helping people and organizations communicate more effectively. As owner of WintersGeo Inc, Frank is now conducting public speaking workshops, providing personal communication and presentation coaching, and geospatial consulting. Frank has a Master of Science in Geography from the University of Idaho and has been a geospatial professional for 35 years. He finished his time with New York State as the Geographic Information Officer (GIO) in 2022. He also served as the Executive Director of the New York State Geospatial Advisory Council (2014–2022), and Chair of the National Pandemic GIS Task Force Chair (2020–2023). He served as President of National States Geographic Information Council (NSGIC) (2020–2021) and continues to be active on several workgroups and committees. Frank serves on the Board of Directors of the National Geospatial Collaborative (NGC) and won a State Scoop Magazine 2021 IT Leader of the Year Award. Frank coaches a youth mountain bike race team, teaches wilderness guiding, and serves on national committees for Scouting creating policies and curriculum for wilderness travel, skiing, and mountain biking.
