This two-day course is designed to help professionals transition from ArcMap to ArcGIS Pro. We will cover a variety of topics including data symbology, map design, spatial analysis, and integration with ArcGIS Online. This course is appropriate for anyone who has experience working within ArcMap. No prior experience with ArcGIS Pro is required. Since ArcGIS Pro is becoming the primary ESRI desktop application, it is important for GIS professionals to become comfortable working in this environment.

Day 1: Projects, Data, and Maps

  • Migrate MXD to APRX
  • Connecting to data/Symbolizing data
  • Digitizing new data
  • Making map layouts
  • Linking maps and scenes
  • Share to ArcGIS Online

COST: $75 per day for WVAGP members, $150 per day for non-members

INSTRUCTOR: Aaron Maxwell, WVU Teaching Assistant Professor of Geography
