GIS Drone Training Course - March 2024

Course Information
When: March 18-20, 2024 Where: Marshall University, Harris Hall Instructor: Dr. James Leonard Contact: leonard@marshall.edu Course Prerequisites: None Workshop Materials: All materials and drones will be provided for students for use in the course. Additional study materials for the Part 107 exam and drones for data collection will be recommended during the course, but not required.

How to Safely Operate a Drone
Legal Issues with Drones
How to Fly a Drone for Automated Data Collection
How to Process Drone Imagery
Exposure to Different Types of Drone Sensors: RGB, Thermal, NVDI
Part 107 exam is NOT included in the course
CANCELLATION POLICY: WVAGP policy requires a minimum of 8 registrations to confirm a course. If the threshold is not met by EOB on Friday, March 1st, 2024, the course will be cancelled and all fees refunded. If a student is unable to attend, cancellation prior to March 1st, 2024 will be provided a full refund. You must contact WVAGP directly for the cancellation.
